Meet Jean, our French Sommelier


Jean is from Provence, in the South East of France and grew up surrounded by generous food and wine.

He studied for 5 years at the Vatel Hospitality School and obtained his Master Degree in Hospitality management.

After many years in fine dining and Michelin Stars restaurant, he took his chance in Australia where he rediscovered his passion for wine and decided to become a sommelier. He rapidly became assistant Sommelier at Flying Fish restaurant in Pyrmont and climbed his way up to take the position of the 3 goblets 500 references wine list. In April 2018 he passes his “Certified Sommelier Certificate” of the Court of Masters Sommelier and today he’s managing the 3 goblets wine list at Manta Restaurant on the Woolloomooloo wharf.

Passionate, he enjoys sharing his love for wine, make it understandable and accessible for everyone.
